Faculty:
The Faculty
of Agriculture, University
of Sheikh Zayed was
established in 2002. Presently, the Faculty comprises three (3) Academic
departments. Viz:
1: Agronomy
2: Plant
Protection
3: Animal
Science
4: Horticulture
It comprises the Dean’s, Sub-Dean’s and Faculty Officer’s offices.
Also in the same complex are Departments of Agronomy, Plant Protection and Animal Science.
The Faculty has a broad-based programs of four (4) academic years which leading to the award of the Bachelor of Agriculture (B. Agric.) degree with limited specialization in the third and fourth year in any of the following options: Agronomy , Plant protection and Animal Science.
Only eight (8) students were graduated at the first batch in 1382/-2003 Session. The Faculty has graduated at about 249 students since its establishment in Seven batches.
Only three (3) members of academic staff were on ground at inception of the Faculty. However, the staffing situation has improved tremendously to a total of 21 Faculty staff currently.
Two lecturers (Mujib Rahman Karimi and Mr. Emal Wali) of the faculty are now in Thailand for conducting Master Degrees in various agriculture fields.

Academic Atmosphere
The Faculty maintains high academic standard by counseling students to work hard, ensuring conducive atmosphere for studying, upholding of Faculty Admission and good standing regulations at all times and above all by the enthusiasm and dedication of the teaching, technical and administrative staff.
The policies adopted and practiced by the Faculty in pursuit of academic standards and maintenance of academic atmosphere derives largely from laid down policies of the University. These include encouraging staff/student seminars, attendance at University inaugural lectures and other special lectures and attendance at symposia and learned conferences, which are also hosted, by the Department and Faculty when fund is available.
